…and so it begins.

We’ve loaded some gear in and we’re about to press the record button.  I think the record button its just the Space Bar.  Ready to rock!

For our eagle-eyed readers, I think you can guess where we are….

Cheers,

Steve

A new chapter

Hey team,

Tomorrow marks a new chapter for the band.  I’d like to call it

“The Chapter Where Matheson Started On A New Record Proper”.

We’re starting the demo process, recording the new songs we’ve had kicking around.  You won’t hear these versions of the songs – they’re just rough ideas for when we hit the ‘real’ studio later on.  Actually, you might hear them.  We might release some back here on our website, just as a treat.

I’ve got a bunch of camera gear, too, so you might see some footage from these demo sessions in the near future.

We’ll keep you posted.  We might even blog the day as we roll.  Depends how busy we are.

Keep your ears to the ground,

Steve

Sorry to disappoint…

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our show at Karova on Good Friday has been cancelled. It’s OK – there’s nothing wrong with any of the guys in the band, there’s just some regulations that need to be observed on that day which have forced the cancellation.

Shame, too. I really wanted to see Juan play.

Still, I’m sure there will be another time coming up soon(ish).  So think of it not as a cancellation, but more of a postponement.

Until next time,

The lads.

Georgie Parker

Are you a fan of fuschia, fashion, waterworks and Australian television icon Georgie Parker? We are – now that all of these elements have been combined with our song ‘Let The Satellites Fall‘ in the latest episode of Home and Away. If you want to check it out, visit here:

http://au.tv.yahoo.com/home-and-away/video/-/watch/24873485/home-and-away-tue-12-apr-episode-5272/

You’ll have to visit on a machine with Flash support, and if you’re not a fan of advertisements, try skipping to 16:13 in the timeline. Mind you, the episode has songs from our faves Band Of Horses and fellow Aussies Sparkadia. So its a decent watch.

Cheers,

Steve
